MyCatholicDoctor Foundation Mission Statement:

To answer the call of Jesus Christ in Luke 10:9, when He said, “cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’”

Mission and Initiative of MyCatholicDoctor Foundation.

Our Initiative

Guided by our shared commitment to upholding the sanctity of life, our mission is to provide life-affirming Catholic medical care to individuals and families across the United States, answering the call of Jesus Christ in Luke 10:9, when He said, “Cure the sick who are there and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’” We do not know of any other national organization that offers these specific pro-life medical services, all of which are otherwise difficult to access for most Americans.

We are the only organization that offers these critical life-affirming healthcare services on a national scale:

    1. Abortion Pill Reversal Initiative: This initiative helps women who regret taking the first dose of the abortion pill to save their pregnancies, offering them hope and the chance to choose life.
    2. One Flesh Initiative: Promoting natural family planning and fertility awareness, this initiative strengthens marriages and family life while honoring the dignity of human procreation.
    3. Holy Family Initiative: Dedicated to life-affirming infertility care for both men and women, this initiative provides alternatives to in vitro fertilization, aligning with Catholic teachings on the sacredness of life.
    4. Holy Death Initiative: Supporting patients and families at the end of life, this initiative ensures care that respects the dignity of each person, emphasizing compassion and respect for God’s plan, and providing alternatives to euthanasia/terminal sedation/medical assistance in dying (MAID).
    5. Holy Mind Initiative: Offering faith-based, life-affirming mental health services, this initiative promotes emotional healing and spiritual well-being.
    6. In His Image Initiative: Focused on assisting detransitioners, this initiative provides compassionate care to individuals seeking to reconcile with their God-given identity.
    7. Blessed are the Poor Initiative: Supporting patients experiencing financial hardship who are seeking life-affirming general medical services.
    8. The Laborer Deserves His Wages Initiative (Luke 10:7): Pro-life medical services are reimbursed by insurance payers at a tiny fraction of the amount paid for the unethical alternatives. This initiative advocates for equitable insurance reimbursement for life-affirming medical services, which reduces the need for philanthropic support of life-affirming care. For example, abortion pill reversal is not reimbursed, but abortion is lucrative. IVF is highly reimbursed, but restorative reproductive medicine/IVF alternatives are so poorly covered by insurance that most of these providers do not accept insurance.
    9. Build it and They Will Come Initiative: This initiative repurposes unused church property to build new in-person medical clinics. Telehealth is not enough–people need and want in–person care. We do have a handful of small offices across the country, but we need more, and real estate is expensive. We are currently seeking to open brick-and-mortar offices in South Dakota, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Portland, and other locations. We hope to have at least two more opened by close of 2025.
    10. Pro-life healthcare education initiative: This initiative supports the training of medical professionals and students in pro-life healthcare.
    11. Pro-life medical research initiative: This initiative supports critical research advancing pro-life medical care

A Walk of Faith

The mission of MyCatholicDoctor Foundation (MCDF) is to answer the call of Jesus Christ in Luke 10:9, when He said, “Cure the sick who are there, and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’”

The universal human experience of illness is a powerful time to recognize that 1) suffering is redemptive and an opportunity to grow in holiness, and 2) healing is a work of God, for which we can be grateful. Through illness and healing the Kingdom of God comes near to us. As healthcare professionals answering the call of Jesus Christ in Luke 10:9, our job is to 1) provide state-of-the-art, effective, ethical medical care and 2) accompany patients in their suffering and healing, so that they recognize that in this time of sickness and  healing, the Kingdom of God has come near to them.

In everything we do, we strive to fulfill the call of Jesus in Luke 10:9, treating each patient as if caring for Christ Himself, in order to bring the kingdom of God into the world by bearing witness to the Gospel.

We enable patients to connect directly with Catholic doctors; Likewise, we enable  faithful clinicians to practice independently and with the full voice of their faith. We believe that the only third party in the doctor-patient relationship should be the Holy Spirit. Our platform empowers clinicians to answer the dual call of Jesus Christ in Luke 10:9, a task that has become prohibitively difficult through most secular healthcare employers.

Truly Catholic Practices

We are pro-life, and pro eternal life!

The clinicians we support unequivocally follow all the Ethical and Religious Directives of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the ethical policy statements of the Catholic Medical Association. We are a refuge for faithful Catholic clinicians who want to practice independently and with the full voice of their Catholic faith.

All staff, patients, and friends of MyCatholicDoctor are invited to join us in our prayer ministry daily at 3:00 PM, as we pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at our adoration chapel in our headquarters in Connecticut. Anyone unable to join us in person is invited to join their prayer intentions with us, as we pray earnestly for everyone involved with our religious apostolate.

Our clinicians seek to bring the loving presence of Jesus Christ to their patients, to heal the whole person: body, mind, and spirit. Our visits are NOT designed to be over as quickly as possible, rather, our clinicians have the time they need to accompany each patient in their suffering, seeking to treat the underlying cause and achieve a full and lasting cure.

We're building a virtual Catholic Hospital

A problem worth solving

For 2000 years, Catholics have led the world in providing life-affirming medical care. Today, this is under attack.

  • Catholic hospitals are being sold to secular health systems, and those that remain open struggle to hire professionals that are trained and experienced in Catholic healthcare
  • Independent private practices struggle financially, especially in primary care, leading most Catholic clinicians to become employees of secular health systems, where they cannot practice with the full voice of their faith.
  • The ability of Catholic doctors to practice medicine consistent with their faith is disappearing
  • Most Americans do not have access to specifically Catholic healthcare services, including but not limited to men’s and women’s fertility care, mental health care, end-of-life care, sexual health, adolescent medicine, addiction care, functional medicine, and more
  • Catholic school nurses are funded and employed by local governments, bringing secular healthcare into our Catholic schools

Our Solution

MyCatholicDoctor is building an alternative for the millions of patients and their physicians who know there is a better way, a way consistent with the highest principles of our faith, a way that seeks not only to cure the sick with the best available medical care, but also to help the sick realize that their suffering is redemptive, and in their suffering they have come close to the Kingdom of God.  When the sick are cured, we help them understand that their healing is a gift from the Lord, for which we are grateful.

Our hospital is virtual, accessible across the country, and integrated within the mainstream healthcare industry.

MyCatholicDoctor makes Catholic healthcare accessible throughout the United States by using telehealth, a referral network of faithful healthcare professionals, and a unique financial model that aims to accommodate different healthcare payment methods. We are committed to serving people of all faiths and creeds.

Just like a physical system, MyCatholicDoctor is a collaborative effort among multiple organizations: the MyCatholicDoctor Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)3 not-for-profit Foundation, and multiple provider groups, incorporated in various states. This corporate structure allows for necessary contracting with health insurance companies throughout the United States.

What does “build a hospital” really mean?

A hospital system typically has multiple functions and combines for-profit suppliers with not-for-profit management. The MyCatholicDoctor Foundation, as a virtual hospital, provides charitable and educational programs and clinical support services.

Your generous donation allows our patients to receive the healthcare they desperately need.
